IEEM’s COACHING DEPARTMENT

IEEM’s Coaching Unit, born with IESE’s Coaching Unit’s support, has the mission of broadening the transformational impact that the business school offers through its academic education, by furthering the program’s participants and Alumni’s leadership skills.

“Executive Coaching shortens the gap between theory and practice, while boosting the impact of the teaching method centered on the participants, that characterizes both our schools.

For IESE’s Coaching Unit, it’s an honor to collaborate in the creation of IEEM’s Coaching Unit, with the goal of shaping responsible leaders that contribute to the society with their work.”

Estíbalitz Ortiz

Executive Director of IESE’s Coaching Unit

WHAT IS EJECUTIVE COACHING?

  • Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. (ICF)

  • A method aimed at helping directors become the best versions of themselves, by which they go from correcting flaws to developing skills and achieving excellence. (Wahl & Bloomfield, 2008).

COACHING, WHY and FOR WHAT?

  • To boost your own learning experience.
  • To clarify different perspectives and analyze them from another point of view.
  • To foster the development of creative ideas.
  • To reinforce the solution-centered approach.
  • To set a bridge to close the gap between theory and practice, and shorten the distance between knowing and doing.
  • To gather feedback in a safe environment.
  • To make a positive impact at a personal and professional level.
  • To develop habits, that will transform into skills.
  • To improve the collaboration with leaders, colleagues and contributors.
  • To redirect your focus onto positive actions.

BENEFITS OF EXECUTIVE COACHING

Executive coaching fosters a safe and exclusive place to reflect upon one’s own needs through dialogue. It enables us to develop a new vision about ourselves, and as a consequence, a roadmap towards tangible results that bring us closer to our goals.

COACHES PROFILE

The Coaches that lead this initiative have been working with IESE’s Coaching Unit for years, and in some cases are part of the Alumni. They all have vast experience in managing roles within the business world, more often than not in international environments. Not only do they have education and have been certified in coaching by renowned institutions, but they also have significant experience in practicing executive coaching. Further, IESE will be working along with IEEM to select people from Alumni that match the requirements, so as to guarantee the experience’s quality while setting up bridges between directors and managers from different fields, that have selected coaching as their second professional career.

HOW WILL IEEM CONDUCT THE EXECUTIVE COACHING PROGRAM?

The Executive Coaching Program will be available to all participants of the class of 2020 of the Management Development Program. As of 2021, it will become available to participants of all other management development programs and of the MBA Senior. It is also a part of the Post-MBA and will be available to the most recent graduates of both March and August MBA’s cohorts.

As of 2021, IEEM’s Alumni affiliates will also have access to an Executive Coaching course, that will include a personal evaluation and three sessions with a coach – at an extra fee over the affiliation.
